Cousera Credly / ACE Credits |

Is there anyway to get your Credly Badge / ACE credits on Coursera besides waiting on them? I completed a certification 6 days ago, and still nothing, and support is not very helpful there.
After this experience they're making me nervous. I'm not sure if I'd trust them again for anything needing ACE credits.

Air Force Cancels Then Uncancels Training About Tuskegee Airmen & WASPs |

Sig Christenson in the San Antonio Express-News Wrote:A video describing the exploits of the groundbreaking African American airmen [the Tuskegee Airmen], who flew combat sorties during World War II, has been removed from the instructional curriculum for new recruits at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, the hub of Air Force basic training.
Trump, in his inaugural address on Monday, vowed to "end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life." The same day, he signed an executive order dismantling federal DEI programs. On Tuesday, the new administration placed DEI officials on leave and ordered agencies to spike postings or advertisements promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
The effects were felt almost immediately at Lackland. A memo circulated among Air Force personnel said that "in accordance with NEW DEIA Guidance," portions of the basic training curriculum were being revised "immediately." DEIA stands for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
The memo said a video on the Tuskegee Airmen, a second video titled "Breaking Barriers" and a third about the Women Airforce Service Pilots [WASPs] who supported the war effort during World War II had been excised from a course on "airmindedness."
A video on diversity was stripped from a separate human relations course, the memo said.
Obeying Trump order, Air Force will stop teaching recruits about Tuskegee Airmen: A video on the pioneering Black pilots, famed for their World War II exploits, was stripped from an Air Force basic training curriculum at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland (Sig Christenson, San Antonio Express-News, updated January 25, 2025)
American greatness was right there. This administration cancelled it.
[Update: The Tuskegee Airmen and WASP videos were restored to the training per the news story on page two of this thread.]

College credit for military recruit |

I have a teen son who is looking to enlist soon and considering getting college credits through Sophia beforehand. What would be the best and most affordable way for him to get those credits on an official transcript to have his rank adjusted during enlistment?
I was considering Clackamas for the library research credit or something else similar for him. Could he complete that course, apply as a transfer student and then have all his credits - the one from Clackamas and any Sophia courses show on his transcript from Clackamas? Open to any other programs that may be able to work similarly. He doesn't want to take time for an entire semester or year at community college before enlisting.

Hello, I just wanted to post my eval of all credits I've just gotten back from TESU of all my Sophia credits and how they transferred in to TESU officially as of 1/24/25 incase I can help anyone because this site has helped me big time!
Basically the lists on the wiki forum here are still pretty spot on! - Followed BACS + GE equivalencies (with some random business classes I threw in as well for extra open elective classes/fun)
*I can confirm the Intro to Sociology on Sophia did not transfer for me to cover TESU's SOC 101, so I'll have to find another route there for the Diversity Intercultural Literacy GE.
Only classes I have to finish yet on Sophia for the BACS is English I, English II, and Public speaking (just waiting on grading for 2/3 of those).
Here is the list of Sophia classes accepted and what they were transferred in as, as of 1/25/2024:
Sophia Class Name: Equivalent TESU Course

Online university with exams, projects, flat rates |

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any online accredited universities that are primarily exam or project based, or have lots of courses that are exam or project based, and charge flat rates (like a fixed price for a whole semester within which you can take as many courses as you want)?
I'm looking for a school that provides grades too (i.e. not pass fail).
When I say exams or projects, I mean as opposed to essays for example.
So even though they're flat rate per semester, WGU wouldn't work because it's pass fail, and UMPI wouldn't work because it's primarily essays.
Thankss!!

Need Help with UMPI YourPace Application Process |

Hi everyone,
I've already submitted my UMPI YourPace application for the session starting on March 10, and so far, I've only received an email with my application number. However, I'm still quite confused about the next steps in the application process. I've searched through the official website and various wikis, but I haven't been able to find clear answers.
Currently, I have the following three things ready:
- My transcript evaluation from WES,
- A sufficient Duolingo English Test score,
- A Sophia account with completed courses that I plan to transfer.
I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate any guidance:
- What should I do next to secure my admission? Do I need to send my English test scores and WES transcript first, and will I only be admitted after they are reviewed and approved?
- When and how should I transfer my Sophia credits to UMPI?
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to answer or read this post! ?
