To all programmers out there, there is a very popular coding tool called "Visual Studio Code" written by Microsoft.

Google has released "Anti-Gravity" with integrated Google Gemini AI, based upon Microsoft's VSCode.

Look, I've got to admit the code output from Gemini 3.0 is quite good, a lot better than Gemini 2.5. You can also choose other models.

Hey everyone — I’m planning to start UMPI YourPace for a BA in Psychology (also considering IGS or PolSci) and I’d love to hear directly from grads. I’ll be starting with no transfer credits and plan to work full-time (about 6–8 hours/day, remote) while studying. I’m trying to build a realistic timeline and budget.

If you graduated (or are finishing soon), could you please share:

1. Major (Psych / IGS / PolSci)
2. How many terms (8-week sessions) it took you to finish from zero transfer credits — or if you transferred in credits, how many and from where.
3. What resources/credit options did you use to speed things up (Sophia, Study.com, CLEP, Prior Learning Assessment, college transfers, etc.)? Which helped most?
4. Which courses felt the heaviest (lots of writing, research, stats) and which were quickest to pass?
5. Any tips/tricks for balancing a full-time job with YourPace? (time blocking, study hours/day, batching assessments, tutors, templates for papers, etc.)
6. Total investment (only if you’re comfortable of course)

What kind of degree do you want?: BA in Psychology or IR/Diplomacy/Political Science

Current Regional Accredited Credits: None

Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: None

Any certifications or military experience?: None

Budget: None, currently working as a freelancer in web design, and will likely have a major corporate client on a $4.2k monthly retainer for the most of next year. Will likely go into a full time remote design role after that to make sure I have enough to continue with my degree until I have a Master's.

Commitments: 6-8h/day for work, and about 6h/week for grocery runs and upkeep.

Dedicated time to study: 3-4 hs/day (likely 6-10 PM my time)

Timeline: Ideally a year or less for the Bachelor's. Both Master's programs I'm interested have intakes in Jan, May and Sep each year. I'd like to be ready to start with my Master's by Sep 2026, but would be ok with moving it over to Jun 2027 too, if needed.

Question please?

I have done some new Straighterline classes in the past month and asked for a transcript to be sent to me. I got it and see that they now show the actual number grade on the transcipt. When I got my BALS, it was just pass or fail. 

Do they now take them as number grades at TESU?

Long story short: My Goddaughter is spiraling. She's dropped out of college and has limited motivation. She's depressed and down on herself for not completing her degree. 

I'm not here for advice at how to get to the "root of her problem" and etc. I know what she needs. She needs a WIN. Sometimes when you've been on a losing streak, you just need a WIN to get your mindset back in gear towards positive upward spiral. 

I know her getting just her AA will reinvigorate her towards that goal.

So that's the objective: We want to get her an AA degree in ANY field in the cheapest fastest way possible. 

Problem is: It's been so long since I've gotten my AAs, BAs, and MAs via alternative methods (with the help of all you people here on DegreeForum! Thank you so much!), that I don't think the options I was thinking of are viable anymore.

For Pierpoint, you have to now take 12 credits through them to get the BOG AAS Degree.

Amberton doesn't offer AAs. 

I realize she'll like have to take at least a couple of courses via the actual school, whether it be TESU, Charter Oak, etc., or any others you can think of.

But what options come to your mind first? 

Ideally, I'd want her to take as many Straighterline classes as possible. 

Back in the day, before Pierpont's 12-credit residency requirement, you could literally just take 60 credits of Straighterline courses, transfer 'em all to Pierpoint, and get the Associate's Degree. Not anymore.

That still could be an option though, I guess.

But what else can y'all think of for her situation? Any ideas on how to get the cheapest and fastest AA Degree from anywhere (that is regionally accredited)?

FYI: She has zero college credits. She dropped out of her first semester.
