Currently at UMPI will finish in December with a BA in Political Science and minors in International Studies, Business Management, Management Information Systems.

First question of input, I want an MBA prefer a CBE program. Really liked the UMPI structure since I've been able to really move rapidly. However I feel like I could get UMPI's MAOL considerably faster. What are realistic time frames, estimated of course? To give an idea of my pace I've done 27 hours my first 8 weeks at UMPI, that's all upperclass courses. I'm not opposed to getting both MAOL and MBA if I were to get the MAOL first. Doubtful I would go back should I get the MBA first as I anticipate it having the greater ROI.

I'd like to share my experience transfering Foreign credits from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences into TESU. First of all, (especially europeans) I highly recommend getting as many credits from a Finnish university as possible. The credits are fast to get and all you have to do after is download the transcript from the student portal and send it to ACEI, who will evaluate and send your credits directly to TESU. You can expect a Finnish credit to be equivalent to half a US credit. I'm happy to help anyone out with more details so please ask.

I'd also like to mention that I transfered in Linear Algebra from Coopersmith into BACS at TESU and it came in as UL MAT-3210 succesfully. On the wiki there is a doubt as to whether or not this course is still accepted.

Hi guys! I used an outdated spreadsheet made by someone, which said study.com's American Government course can fulfill the Civic Engagement and Awareness requirement for my degree. Turns out, the course was transferred in as a free elective, and in fact, as of September 1st, 2020, TESU no longer accepts it for the Civic Engagement and Awareness requirement.

What is my best option at this point? Honestly I don't want to take another course just for this requirement, and people say the CLEP is difficult and not worth it. There isn't a TECEP for this either...No options are good. But maybe I haven't thought of an options some of y'all might suggest.

I understand I have to just bite the bullet and do something I don't want to. In your opinion, what's the best course of action here?

Right now until the end of October UoPeople is offering free transfer credit evaluations up $340 or 20 classes. I had some problems with the advisor earlier but decided to go forward with them. I decided to get a second bachelor's degree in Health Sciences it will help me with some certifications I am working on. I am also starting towards completing my dissertation in Jan 2025 and decided to go to HAU's MBA progra  one class at time in the Spring of next year. Needless to say my plate is full. The transfer credits seem like a good deal.

I applied for the BOG AAS program at Pierpont back in May of this year, and initially, I sent transcripts from my files which were ultimately rejected. 

I then went to my community college and had them send my official transcript to Pierpont. I never heard back from them or received my credits, so I emailed them about this in August. 

They replied and said that my community college transcript had "no work with a letter grade to be recorded on it." 

I am not sure how to get these credits verified at this point and I don't want to just throw away two years of education credits.

So our son failed the CLEP College Composition Modular with a score of 45   He is 14 years old, so some of it is probably simply due to his young age and inexperience (with grammar AND life).

He had passed the DSST Advanced English Composition a month prior, and found the latter easier.

He has decided to try the Sophia Learning English Composition 1, and would like to pre-write all of the essays before we restart our subscription. The syllabus can be downloaded without an active subscription, but it does not go into full detail about the Touchstone assignments.

Is there anyone with a current subscription who could copy and paste the essay assignments and send them to me or post them here? That would be super helpful.

Posting this here because no one else in my life will understand how thrilled how I was to ace this test. Even my wife just shrugged and said cool lol.
To preface, I’m previously Network+ and CCNA certified and use networking frequently in my day job so I do consider networking to be a very strong subject for me. However I would not have done nearly as well, maybe even failed, if I had not read the TESU suggested Networking Basics book. There’s just so many outdated terms in there and specific ways of explaining things that I had not encountered in my previous networking studies. Network+/CCNA will give you a great foundation for OSI, IPv4 addressing and subnetting, common port numbers, basic understanding of TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, and similar foundation protocols. They will likely NOT mention Manchester Encoding, Zigbee, distributed queue dual bus, thicknet vs thinnet these and a bunch of other random topics seem to be specific textbook. I suppose they were popular at some point but too out of date to be mentioned in a lot of newer networking materials.

The nerd in me did kind of enjoy reading so much history about how we arrived at our modern standards but practically speaking I think I’m very unlikely to need know many of those terms outside of this TECEP exam.
Still for like $200ish for 3 upper level RA credits it was very worth it for me. If you want to give yourself the best chance of passing definitely go through the recommended book. I felt the test matched to that most closely. I watched all the recommended videos and didn’t find them to be too relevant to the test. Those videos try to dumb down networking too much with analogies to the point where you don’t really get the understanding you need IMO. I did look for some 3G/4G GSM, CDMA, LTE YouTube videos because the recommended video is no longer available. I will say I got a couple questions on this topic so that was worth it. There’s not much on that topic in the book. There’s 3-4 pages in the book describing 802 standards. Definitely take notes on those pages in particular.

So, I did it at last!
As of about an hour ago, I'm officially done with my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration: Project Management & Information Systems. 
Waiting for announcements on degree conferral now

I believe that, at least until UMPI releases a CS degree, this is the best choice for people that are seeking employment in Project Management (especially in IT) or, like me, are already working as IT professionals nd want to get promoted to managerial positions.

Part of my success, despite life commitments and, sometimes, a loss of motivation, was staying organized and being able to clearly visualize the progress towards my goal. 
Most of that was achieved with this degree plan that I am therefore sharing with you, in hopes that it will be useful, and as a thank you for all the priceless content and advice this forum has offered me free of charge.

The only change that I made to the plan was switching out my ACTFL Italian Proficient Certification to Sophia's Spanish I, because most of you aren't foreigners fluent in another language for some easy credits.

I took the IBM Data Analyst course through Coursera because it was a cheap and good certification for my resume.

The electives are clearly targeted towards IT professionals such as myself - feel free to customize them for your particular skills and interests.

• The UMPI part is easily doable in 2 terms (even 1 if you have the time). I took the hardest/least interesting classes right away in the first term when my motivation was at a peak, so that Term 2 was extremely easy. Preference and difficulty are of course subjective, so think about it for yourself strategically.
  
• BUS 325 is I believe the longest class in this program. Lots of big milestones and the final is huge. You want to enroll in this class first, at the start of a session, and slowly work your way towards it while you complete other classes. 
  
• BUS 343 is likewise a bit more involved than other classes - although nothing like BUS 325. You may want to enroll in this class right at the start of your second term.
  
• Join the Discord! It's a great tool for staying motivated and has a ton of useful info.
  
  

I'm considering getting my Master's in management or a MBA. I've been looking at Middle Georgia State University and Amberton University. MGA has an online Master's in Management and Amberton has an online MGA and both are affordable. But does anyone have any experience applying or attending either college?

they are also planning on adding B.S health admin , B.S cs and B.S cybersecurity
